Eliminate all ignition sources and naked lights. Use non-sparking utensils. Wear PVC overalls, chemical resistant gloves, respirator and safety goggles. Prevent further spillage. Absorb spilled product and place in sealable container for disposal. Wash down affected area with water plus detergent. Absorb and collect washings and place in the same sealable container for disposal. Seek advice from the local authority regarding disposal.
Call the Fire Service: Dial 111. Wear PVC protective clothing and breathing apparatus. Extinguish fires with foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide. During a fire toxic fumes may be released. Cool sealed drums with water to prevent rupture due to thermal expansion. Contain run-off. Keep non-involved persons away. FIRST AID If Swallowed:
Do NOT induce vomiting. For advice contact the National Poisons Centre 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) or a doctor immediately. If in Eyes:
Hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
If on Skin:
If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. Do not scrub the skin.
If Inhaled:
Remove patient to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-nose. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.
STORAGE AND SEGREGATION SUMMARY Storage: Store in original container in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from direct heat or direct sunlight. Store away from foodstuffs, children and animals.
