10-2-C: How to Make Operation Graphic Records Digitalized Chair: Tsun-Hsiung Yao, National Kaohsiung Normal University, Taiwan Lecturer: Jene-Chung Chang, Kaohsiung Municipal United Hospital, Taiwan
Format: This session will be held as a workshop lectured in Mandarin to graduate students in design as a target audience. Description: Medical records produced and maintained by doctors are often in professional and even unrecognizable terms foreign to patients. This may result in difficulty in communication between the doctor and the patient. There is promising room where the verbal information can be transformed into graphical and iconic representations which requires not only design knowledge but also substantial human-computer interaction know-how. The workshop is thus aimed to provide design students with such HCI skills, illustrated by empirically tested research examples.
